Ibanez knows shred guitars. Japanese luthiers build arguably some of the best guitars in the world. What happens when you put those two things together? Well, one of the best shred guitars in the world.

This mid-’90s Ibanez S470TR (Transparent Red) is a true weapon of finesse in the war on not rocking. the volume, tone and 5-way switch control the HSH pickup configuration (featuring an upgraded Suhr SSH+ in the bridge) which is nestled just above the licensed Floyd Rose floating tremolo system, allowing for wild and wooly whammy stunts.

The neck is the literally magical Wizard profile, with a very thin carve while maintaining a very comfortable nut width on a 25 1/5″ scale. 6-in-line Gotoh tuners behind a locking nut equip the standard Ibanez headstock. The neck joint is an offset 4-bolt pattern, allowing for a comfortable contour for getting your hand all the way to the top of the neck, just like you have to sometimes.

The finish is a high-gloss transparent coat over a red stain that is quite handsome, accented quietly by the gunmetal and black hardware coloring. The previous owners of this sweet pea have taken wonderful care of it, and there is hardly any obvious wear.

Rectangle-profile hardshell case included.
