This instrument needs no introduction.

The finish on this beauty is original (though it has been oversprayed), with a wide and gorgeous tobacco sunburst on the top. The headstock bears the original ink-stamped Gibson logo. The bridge is not lifted and shows no signs of previous repair. The pickguard is original. It retains all original inlays for the fret markers, and the fretwires are original with remarkably little wear. The neck is straight and true, the action is excellent, and the intonation is dead-on. There is no sign of a neck reset.

The nut is in good shape and could be original, with the same being true for the saddle. The strap button also seems to be original. The binding on the top is fully intact and original.

There is a very small crack in the back, and a very well repaired crack in the bottom of the instrument. The tuning machines have been replaced with more modern ones. All of that taken in to consideration, this instrument is the best example of a guitar from this era that we at Selner Bros. have ever seen.
